Okay, as most of you know I am pregnant (9 weeks now). I had my first nurse appointment today and was given a whole list of things that I could and couldn’t eat or do … fun …. They take all the fun out of life, you know? They also kept saying that the average prego should gain 20-25 lbs during the pregnancy. Um, no thanks! I already weight 220 (well, 221 as of today) - if I gain 25lbs I will be pushing 250 and I seriously think that’s way less healthy. I mean, wouldn’t I be at a higher risk for things like gestational diabetes and stuff if I gained that much? My last pregnancy I only gained 15lbs and I’m proud of that. My son was born on time and healthy.
So, what do I do? It’s not like I can take hoodia or some other crazy diet pill. Oh no, this is all natural - healthy eating time. Like I said, I have a whole list of what to eat - unfortunately, on the “No” side is anything “deli” which I freakin’ LOVE .. but, what can you do. I joined a pregnancy “diet” website and I like reading the food lists. They make sure to list something from every food group so you are well covered. Too bad I’m so not into cooking right now.
