My wife Sharon and I rented our first townhouse in Jacksonville almost 25 years ago (Camp Lejeune was my first duty station). We also bought our first home in Jacksonville for (believe this) $59,000. When we got orders and sold the house we had to right a check for $800 at closing (remember we were selling). All of the above is a little off subject except to say that experiences like that and in the years that followed prompted me to start MilitaryByOwner.com. We are fairly popular in the Jacksonville area and we also have at least one property management company that is advertising on the Camp Lejeune page. Good luck, and let us know if we can help. Dave

It is such a relief to meet others with many of the same challenges that I have. I know there are a lot of us out there, but sometimes I feel all alone in the amount of work I have to accomplish each day. I do love it, though!

You know, another great camera that has almost DSLR results is the Canon S3IS or even the S2IS which I imagine has come way down in price by now. I have the S3 and it’s really awesome. I refuse to get rid of it even though I have the DSLR now.

And I hear you on not being able to afford it. Technically I can’t either. I used interest free easy pay on QVC. LOL They have Rebels, too!

I’m a big TS2 nerd too. I have every single expansion & stuff pack to date even from TS1. LOL!

I can’t wait until Apartment Life comes out! It’s sooo friggin interesting and I can’t wait to see how my sims cope in a magical world and of course apartments.

I think it’s awesome that you can put this out there and work on it openly! I don’t think I could blog about it - it depresses me too much. We have A LOT of debt ourselves and it’s like our dirty little secret. I figure we’ll be 80 by the time it’s paid off.
