“They” say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Well, all those websites out there that are “imitating” the blogs who can actually blog about making money are way out of their league. Seriously. I just scanned the “Making Money” online section of Entrecard and found so, so, so many terrible blogs who are just blogging about trying to make money online. That’s all they have. Trust me people, there are more things I’d like to read then how much you didn’t make with AdSense. Seriously.

I started this blog to talk tech and talk marketing and such. Maybe talk about money making and affiliate programs and blog for money programs I hear about or freelance for - but I can’t just make a SPLOG blog, which is what a good portion of those blogs are. Splogs. I have seen some great sites out there talking about  this kind of thing that are awesome, they really give great info. about marketing and such. But others? Not so much.

Just because you sign up to make money online and have to desire to become the next John Chow doesn’t mean you go out and buy “IAMTEHINTERNETRULAR.COM” and tell the world that THIS! THIS is what I will DO! I will make MONEY! And I will TALK ABOUT IT! You worry about CONTENT before you worry about NETWORKING. Make more then one blog post, THEN join Entrecard!!

Duh!

*Steps off soapbox ;)

I made $12.00 the other day with PayPerPost! BOOYAH! lol ;)

Whilst stumbling around Entrecard I came across a blog called Ask Me Why - Work From Home (I think.) and they had a neat idea (not sure if they were the FIRST, I just hadn’t thought of it, lol) on how to “work” Entrecard.

The original link is here to the blog post I’m referring to!

Nowadays people can use internet away from their home with the help of wireless internet. For this service internet providers place wireless internet booster in order to amplify the wireless signals. The wireless routers make it possible to use the laptop at areas where it was impossible to use earlier. People connect through internet with the help of wireless internet hotspots. One can also get different wireless accessories along with wireless services like wireless speakers, headphones, keyboard etc.

RetailMeNot

I just wanted to give a quick link to Retail Me Not - an awesome website to find coupons for various things. I’ve personally used their coupon codes for both my Lunarpages website hosting and my Namecheap domain registrations. Before you buy ANYTHING online get over their and check them out!

(BTW - this was NOT a sponsored post, I just effin love the site, m’kay? lol)

Are you in search of an unsecured loan to start up your small/home business? Look no further then the friendly folks at America One Unsecured –a loan consulting and placement firm, specializing in providing unsecured loans and line of credit approvals.

I’ve learned that it does take money to make money, you can hardly start a successful business with no money involved whatsoever. (Yes, I’m sure there are cases where it has worked!) But, for me, I know that be it the candle business that I used to run or the website design & marketing firm I am currently running takes money to start up – no matter what they tell you. With my candle company, even though I was just a consultant and I earned most of the products for free to start up, I needed to buy monthly specials to really rev up my customers - my display was my storefront. Nowadays, my websites are my storefronts and I need to pay for domain names, hosting, graphics, licenses and more to keep them up and running. Now, I’m no John Chow, so this money has to come from somewhere. If I want to expand my business to a “real” storefront then I will most certainly need a small business loan.

Some of the advantages in getting an unsecured loan include no collateral required, no financial statements or tax returns required, easy application program and fast approvals. You can bet on full confidentiality and low interest rates.

America One Unsecured has been around since 1999 and has a reputation of being the US’s largest loan broker offering unsecured personal loans or small business loans. The company is listed with the Better Business Bureau, so you can count of them to be on the up and up.

You can also find on their website a blog and financial articles to better help you with understanding everything from the loan process to investing and debt management. It’s definitely a worthwhile website to visit if you are looking for information, aside from loan information.

Entrecard

Okay, I finally signed this blog up for Entrecard (the ad block is there on the right!) I love it because it brings visitors in, but also finds me cool new blogs to read. I don’t have a lot of money for advertising my blogs, so I can do it through Entrecard by visiting blogs and dropping my “card” in the slot.

I’ve noticed in the few weeks I’ve been a member (with my other blog) that there are a lot of blogs with zero content. How annoying! You need to build your blog BEFORE you ask people to visit. You don’t want people to just visit once, you want repeat visitors. No content = No repeat visitors = No use.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of people use the option to have Entrecard make a text-like graphic for your use. Those graphics are honestly not attractive and will not bring people to your website. Again, if you want repeat visitors and not just fly by night visitors put forth the effort to make a nice graphic for your advertising needs.

I’m willing to help you out if you need a 125×125 graphic for Entrecard. If you are an Entrecard member and would like for me to make you a graphic then just let me know in the comment. I will just “Charge” you 5 credits - seems nice to me no? Let me know, okay?

I have to point out a cool blog that requested advertising - it’s called “The Thin Red Line” and it’s all book reviews. What an awesome blog! Especially since I just got back into the whole “reading” thing, lol ;) Yeah, I’m an illiterate little girl. Well, no, I’m really not, I just have zero time for anything more then a Cosmo. I’ve been MAKING time (usually while locked in the bathroom). Enough about me, check out the blog m’kay?

I got a barrage of comment spam last night!! The funniest piece of spam in the world actually, all it said was that “Google is the best search engine Google…” DUH? Someone from Amsterdam. Do they actually like having their entire net experience run by the Google Gods? lol … crazy spammers …

My son is singing a loud version of “Bob the Builder” downstairs. He’s so funny!

PPP has been making me nuts lately. I seriously think people just sit at the opportunities page all day and just hit refresh and take any single opp they can. If you don’t have time to stake out the site you are “S.O.L” .. it’s a major pain in the ass. So, needless to say, I am about paid up on PPP. Haven’t taken any opps in awhile. I think I took a $5.00 one on OhhRah the other day. That’s been about it lately.

I removed my Blogsvertise account because I’ve only gotten 2 assignments on there, the third assignment was for my Starryskye blog and Blogsvertise wanted more links then the advertiser provided, so while the advertiser was okay with my post, Blogsvertise wanted more. For $4.00 it wasn’t worth the hassle. SO, I closed my account and contacted the advertiser directly. They personally accepted my post and the money was sent to my paypal account. I love “drug deals” lol ;) But seriously, if advertisers want something, why not just contact the BLOGGER and forget the middle man?

I just hate the competitiveness that the middle man provides I guess. I opened up my blogs to paid postings/reviews because the extra money comes in handy. We just moved and I’m trying to pay off bills. Plus it’s honestly nice to be able to give my family and friends some extras. I’ve gotten a pro-account with Flickr, bought my hubby a  TogetherWeServed account so he could keep up with his military buddies, bought a domain name for my best friend, bought another domain name and full hosting for me. I’ve paid 1/2 of the credit card bill for a new laptop (I’ve always wanted my own!), and of course took chunks out of bills. I love having some extra money coming in and being able to stay home with my son.

I found this neat website while using StumbleUpon. It’s called American Rhetoric: Top 100 Speeches of the 20th Century by Rank. The website has mp3’s of famous speeches from everyone from Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” to Eleanor Roosevelt’s “Adopting the Declaration of Human Rights.”

It’s a really neat website, especially if you have kids in school. Or, if you are just a history buff like me!

Check out the website here.
