Is it just me? Or is Britney Spears looking MILF-like lately? Seriously, I just re-watched my DVR of the 2008 MTV VMA’s (Video Music Awards) and she was all over the awards (in a GOOD way, not in a strut herself all over the state way). She didn’t perform (in the usual sense) but she did open the show with Jonah Hill (of “Superbad” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” fame) where Hill tries to kiss the singer while distracting her with “relaxation tapes.” The skit went over only slightly better than Spears’ infamous performance from ‘07. Well, in fact - I think Britney’s 2007 performance was funnier. But, aside from that I was soooooo happy to see her bag not one, not two but THREE (good) awards that night! Britney never even won a single VMA before! This time, she took home awards for Best Female, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year - for her “Piece of Me” clip.

Her acceptance speeches were cute too - the first two she did speeches that were obviously rehearsed. The third speech though I think she was so caught off guard that she did off the cuff speaking - thanking her fans. I was so proud of her - she really seems to be getting her life back. Gone are the shave-fests, dire need of acne cures, umbrella’s, goatee’d paparazzi boyfriend and the FLAB.

I guess Britney isn’t the only ho-ho in the family. At least she was married and legal before she started having babies though. You never hear of their brother, maybe he is the only “normal” one? Hrm?

Or rather, Britney? Have you seen her new video for “Piece of Me” off her album Blackout? I think its seriously a great (fun) song! She plays on the fact that she is SO popular with the Paparazzi and jokes about being a hot mess fodder for the photogs. “I’m Mrs. Extra, Extra This Just In” she says.

I dunno … she seriously needs to get her life straight. She needs to take priority with her kids and stop acting like a wacko. I’m happy to see her taking an interest in her music career, “Gimmie More” needed a little “More” the song is cool, but the video was le’suck) but another song on the album “Hot as Ice” or something is awful. I’m no expert, but it’s a start, right?

Billboard music is reporting that Britney’s new album “Blackout” which was supposed to come out mid-November is being released on October 30th instead! This is because the album has leaked out onto the internet! Gee, I heard a lot of songs on a certain gossip website, how about you?

I dunno though. From what I have heard this new album will be “eh” you know? I like what I’ve heard, but her fans were so waiting for THE COMEBACK. And I don’t think this is it - which is sucha shame.
