So, there was just a question posed on the television while I was watching “Bring it On” (laughably, one of my very favorite movies). It was something along the lines of “What movie based on the “Taming of the Shrew” did Gabrielle Union star in?” It hung me up because another one of my very favorite movies “10 Things I Hate About You” was based on “Taming of the Shrew” and also “starred” (although not in the LEAD ROLE) Gabrielle Union. The answer they gave was “Deliver Us From Eva” (a movie I’d never seen).

I want to say either of the movies would count thankyouverymuch!

On another note … I think in anything I watch I spy someone who’s been on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the series). I’m obsessed … I know. Clare Kramer plays a cheerleader in “Bring it On” and was also “Glory” (the Big Bad) in season five of Buffy. I’d forgotten she was in this movie until she came into a scene bitching that someone stole her spanky pants. Not to even MENTION Eliza Dushku who played non other than the “other slayer” Faith! I adore her … she’s really gorgeous.

I don’t know why I don’t just invest in a Plasma television and a plasma mount with all the shows and movies I watch. I’m getting worse as I get older I think.

I seriously need to take a day off from my internet work. The house is a mess - and if I could just pry myself away for ONE DAY I could get it clean and then I wouldn’t worry about it. Once the house is clean it doesn’t take me long to “straighten up” each day. I’m big on the FlyLady principles but when I fall of the wagon I fall hard and I have to start ALL OVER with my “baby steps” again. It’s a hassle and it annoys the hell out of me. I have a bunch of projects going on online and I’m loving every second of it … THIS is what I want to do - website/blog design, graphics design, marketing, reviews, etc. I love this stuff! But, of course the house suffers, lol …

For the design aspect of “The Plan” I’m working on a new layout for Starryskye Designs. I’ve finally changed the straight html coded website into a Wordpress run one. I am also doing some “freebie” work for friends in order to 1) help ‘em out and 2) get my name out there

For reviews I’ve been getting with other bloggers and doing sample reviews and doing some product and movie reviews on my own. I’m sure I’ve got some diet pill reviews and a movie review or two up my sleeve (Just saw Hellboy II yesterday!)

Other than that I’ve purchased not one but TWO new domain names. The first will be more of a “gossip” blog, but won’t just be celebrity gossip. There will also be some movie reviews there and other things that would interest Moms that just want to re-find themselves and crack up a bit. I can be funny I’ve been told - and this new blog will showcase that. The second domain name I purchased was a “.me” domain which I will be attempting to make a profit on with resale. We shall see (in two years). Yay for investment domain purchasing!

Stay tuned … This bitch is taking over the world

I had begun to write a “Health & Beauty” blog over at a domain I had purchased and completely let it go. I mean, who am I to write a BEAUTY blog seeing that I personally need to find the best acne treatment for my stressed out, blotchy face and I also need to lose weight and get a boob job. Suffice to say that I haven’t got the self esteem to write a beauty blog … Ahh well … So, come um, a few months from now I will let everyone know when the domain is expiring … Maybe someone wants it.

I’m going to go back to eating my “flour” Tostitos and watching “Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle” ….

So … I bought a new camera yesterday. I settled on going “cheap” and stuck with what I know - the Sony Cyber-shot. I picked up the DSC-S730 (which is really just a way newer model than the one I’ve had for almost 6 years now). It has way more options and takes great shots. I can mess with settings and even the iso with this camera which makes me happy. Issue I am having right now is that I am trying to follow this tutorial for getting rid of the red eye in a photo of my son and dog. They BOTH got the red eye! Grr! So, my brain just isn’t understanding said tutorial …

I am also fighting with my son (ahh! three year olds!), watching the Backyardigans (sigh), reading Harry Potter fan-fiction and checking out home gyms. How’s THAT for multi-tasking?!

I’ve decided to really try to work on increasing traffic to my blog at Starryskye. I was hitting around 200 visits a day due to my visiting and clicking around Entrecard every-single-day. Well, I do visit my favorites each day still, but it’s no where near what I was doing. I need to “meet” new people and get them to visit my blog. SO - I’ve been working on what I’d like to call my “Rockin’ Monthly Giveaway!” I’m excited about this and I’m starting off with a beautiful set of wine charms that *I* made. I’ve been crafting and getting ready to open up my very own Etsy shop in the new year! So, this set of charms is just a taste of what I will be offering.

Other giveaways I am planning include a “Relax with Wax” gift basket and maybe even a handmade scarf (from Etsy - but NOT from me, lol) in honor of the new Harry Potter movie coming out in late November. I’ve been writing down ideas as I get them! Hopefully; hosting giveaways will increase my traffic. July 28th I had 50 visitors.  The 30th and 31st I had a mere 25. Yesterday I had 35 so it seemed to creep back up a little again. My honest goal is 100 for now. An AVERAGE of 100 mind you and at least 70 so I can be an active participant in a new advertising program I joined.
