Okay, so my very random husband just asked me how to sell t-shirts online; he of course mentioned Cafe Press which is one of the “biggies” everyone uses. In fact, I have a Cafe Press shop and I’ve sold exactly “0″ shirts; no biggie though - I just put it up for fun. I like the one I made at home better anyway, lol. So, what answer did I give him? “I dunno, do some research!” of course! (Like I have all the answers). I want to find out for myself though, so I’m searching … I came across a website called (heh, simply) “Sell T-Shirts Online” which breaks down some of the big name t-shirt sellers. The website is an affiliate site, but provides good information.

The issue I have with most of the online t-shirt places is that the markup sucks. Cafepress and Spreadshirt both charge around $15 base price on a shirt; so you as the seller have to mark the shirt up to at least $20 to make a measly $5 profit. I don’t know about you; but I sure as hell am not buying a crappy printed shirt for $20. Call me picky; but that’s just my humble opinion.

Printfection (another new seller place) seems nice (but they don’t print on dark/black items) … I’m not sure of their markup because I don’t have an account there though.

I know my friend Paul (and his band St Valentine’s Massacre) sell their band shirts; I should ask him how they print them. I’m pretty sure they don’t use one of those “freebie” shops.

Do any of you sell your own t-shirts online? How do you do it?

Our “office” upstairs is a total mess … I think that will be our weekend project actually - to clean and organize. There is just way too much up there! The “Plan” is to utilize the big plastic bins that I purchased (on SALE!) and sort through all the paperwork (photos, paper, scrap stuff and genealogy) that Xander dumped on the floor, sort all the wires and computer parts into smaller bins and stack and label them, put the rest of the books onto the bookcase, reorganize the actual computer desk and bring up the other bookcase and card table (with sewing stuff) from the bedroom downstairs. The computer desk revamp includes unattaching EVERYTHING, cleaning and wiping down things, and then re-hooking up the two (yes two) printers, the Linksys router, the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and putting in some extra storage things into the desk.

It isn’t a LOT of work - just tedious I guess …

Well, now that you’ve seen “the plan”, I’m gonna go and show “the plan” to someone else. (from Ten Things I Hate About You)

To Do To Day

Hubby is on my tail to make a post-op appointment and get some new (like, not super glued together) eyeglasses. I’ve been delaying both because of hubby’s work schedule, he’s been getting home later then usual lately plus he’s training two new guys. So I don’t want to bother him … I have to call the eye place to find out when they close because maybe they are open a little later (I plan on trying to get a cheap contacts exam also). The post-op stuff is annoying because it’s at Portsmouth hospital and I already had an appointment scheduled and they sent the reminder call to me ask I was being driven home from surgery and I stupidly canceled it! Der! So, I have to reschedule for a day that I can find a babysitting for Xander; they have childcare there but it’s a “call in advance” idea that requires me to get paperwork for daycare for him. Pain!

So, here I sit … glued together eyeglasses and still cramping from the miscarriage/surgery. Yayness.

BestBuy has Sims2 Ikea Home Stuff on sale for $14.99 right now (I went in today and got my copy). I checked out WalMart and it was $19.98 and I figured it wasn’t “worth” that much since this stuff pack wasn’t getting the best reviews. I’ve been reading a lot that it’s just some furniture and a few objects - which most of the stuff packs come with artwork and clothing also. So now I own all the Expansions thus far (Sims2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, and Freetime) and a few of the stuff packs (Holiday, Teen Style, and Kitchen and Bath). Well, and now Ikea stuff since I’m in lust with all things Ikea. I figure if I can’t deck my house out in Ikea (it’s 4 hours away) then I might as well have my Sims have a nice decked out Ikea house!

Next Expansion pack, “Apartment Life” comes out in AUGUST!!! It will have magic (finally) and lots of new stuff so I am uber excited about it. With that I will not only be able to build myself some cheap hotels (courtesy of Bon Voyage), but also a Hogwarts school and a NYC Slum! WOOT!

Yeah, I’m a complete nerd …. what of it?

My husband has been working his arse off while he’s been gone - in fact, he’s even been blogging each day from overseas with his workout routines! He’s making me feel like a lump!! But, when he came home recently (due to me and my non-cooperative body) I gotta say he looked GOOD! His arms look toned and his belly has shrunk - it’s NICE :) I think if he keeps working out like he’s been working out he will need horse supplements because he will just be so big! (I’m so totally kidding babe!) Since he’s been home he’s been using our son as a weight and working out with him - it’s cute to watch.

You’ve gotta check out his blog; he’s also been posting funny videos lately.

Thanks to my Mom and Dad, my house looks GOOD (finally!!). I can now concentrate on decorating it (hanging photos and lighting fixtures mostly)! I’m excited because there is no light upstairs in the loft, just a little desk light that has since burned out. It’s dark, messy and depressing up there in that loft … I also have a super cute cloud light from Ikea for Xander’s room that I’ve yet to finish putting up. My craft room really needs another light also. How can I make things that I can’t see?

So, happiness is a clean house ..

I was perusing the blogosphere for money saving blogs … I decided that it’s a good idea if we try and save a little money and try and pay things off, instead of just adding to the credit card debt (which is what I’ve been doing). I found a couple websites that sound awesome; “Money Saving Mom” and “Organizing Junkie” (and let’s not forget “Flylady” who doesn’t just give cleaning tips!) Mostly today I was looking for ways to save money at the grocery store. I use coupons, but I use them pretty sporadically simply because I have yet to figure out how to organize them so that they are easily accessible. I LOVE the idea that I found at “Out of the Overflow” which was using a binder/notebook (which looks EXACTLY like the one I bought a couple years ago) and having the coupons in trading card sheet protectors. She also included a calculator and scissors - SMART.

So, that’s one of two house-projects for this upcoming week. 1) Clip and organize coupons and 2) Make a daily routine for cleaning. (Hubby just cleared the dishes from the sick - WAHOO!)

Another money saver would be to stop buying expensive diet pills or scrapbook supplies (well, the diet pills I’ve been off for awhile, heh heh).
