I’m not asking for acne solutions here, I just need SIMPLE and cheap (better yet free) shopping cart software! I’ve tried Zencart and some Commerce.cgi program (both free) and I can’t figure out how to tweak anything! I’m really getting frustrated here. I usually have no trouble tweaking programs, I use a lot of cgi and database programs - I just can’t figure out cart software.

So what should I use? Simplicity is a MUST, price is a factor - I’d prefer free obviously, but I’m willing to pay some for quality. I’d like to be able to change the template and customize it completely. Okay? Help a girl out here!

Getting Warmer

No comment - Post a comment

It’s getting warmer here in Virginia ladies and gents! It was 85 degrees all day today, no rain either - tomorrow it’s supposed to be warm also! I’m so excited, I adore warm weather! I love the beach, some floats and other pool toys, maybe a noodle or two. I don’t particularly love sand in my suit, but you live with what you get. The beaches here are beautiful, even the on base beach. I get excited driving through the beach area and seeing all the colorful surf shops. I love beach towns! I’m happy to usually always live by one!

No, nevermind … I didn’t! Hubby and I went to see “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” tonight and literally laughed SO HARD during it! What a funny movie! I love how some of the most popular movies nowadays are really showing “Geek Guys” or “antiheroes” as the sex symbol of the movies. Good fun times! Only issue is how much a movie, popcorn, two drinks and a pretzel costs - jeebus! It’s EXPENSIVE to date! I’d spend less money on a couple shower chairs and have some “date” time. Well, that’s another story entirely I think. Go see “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” !!!

My parents and hubby are picking on me right now … I got out of the van and tried to shut the door with my poor dad still sitting in the back seat. I don’t think I will ever live it down, lol … They are teasing me that I’m going to stick him in a “home” or something, I’d never do that unless I seriously could NOT take care of them (both parents). I dunno, I hate thinking about stuff like that. The Navy (well, any military) allows you to add people who you are taking care of and who live with you to your insurance (which is great because I simply can’t afford things like clinical laboratory service, that’s just a lot to deal with.

Retail Therapy

I love shopping, what girl doesn’t? But, it’s not really the “clothes” shopping that gets me happy, it’s food shopping and decor shopping that gets me. Today we hit up Sam’s Club for some random things and found that they have deep freezers for pretty cheap (I SO need a deep freezer!) and so we’re planning on the next time we visit we need to pick up a freezer. (On a side note, I’m pretty sure Sam’s doesn’t sell Blanco sinks, but they have Blanco freezers! Get it? WHITE = Blanco? hee hee hee!)

Anyway … after Sam’s we went to Applebee’s for dinner and I ate too much (what’s new?) and then hit up the Commissary for groceries. I bought SO much meat (where’s my freezer!!??) but luckily, everything fits in the fridge and freezer.

Now? I’m tired … And I have a foot cramp. I think I will watch Across the Universe and then go to bed. We’re going to Busch Gardens tomorrow. BEER!!!

Such a GEEK

… and I’m totally okay with it! LOL! I’ve been playing Sims 2 for a few years now, before that Sims 1 … so I’m thoroughly addicted by now. In fact, I’ve been bored with the game - so I’ve begun doing “legacies” and “challenges” to add to the fun of my game (and all the expansion packs). I’ve joined a few message boards (and plan on actually participating in one) and I’ve downloaded a ton of “CC” (Custom Content) from cool clothes to new eyes to a gold bangle for my Simmies! I’m currently working on a couple things including an Apocalypse Challenge (I’m on my fourth founder) and I’m also doing a crazy Harry Potter legacy beginning with rebuilding the entire family tree of several founders.

Yeah, geek …. heh!

I spent yesterday deep cleaning my office/craft room/guestroom because my parents are visiting this week. I needed to pick up a daybed with a pop up (they are super handy and double as a bed or a couch) so needless to say the room needed a FULL overhaul. We have had boxes in there that hadn’t been gone through since LAST move! So, I started unpacking … I’ve found candle gift certificates (shopping spree!), Chrysler 300 accessories, boxes of scrapbook supplies, video tapes, the cat, and finally … FINALLY … the FLOOR!

Hubby and my Dad picked me up the day bed I had picked out a few weeks ago and they are setting it up right now. We got the bed (wood), the pop up and two twin mattresses for $530. We shopped around, believe me … In fact, we couldn’t find a pop up bed ANYWHERE! This was the best deal. Thanks to our tax return we could afford it also.

So, I just need to finish vacuuming, get some sheets (oops! lol) and my parents will be comfy-cozy for the week they are here.

More Decor

I forgot to mention in the last post that today my friend and I hit up a Craft show! I was so inspired by tons of stuff that it’s really kicking my butt into learning some seller software. I’ve got Zencart installed on another site and I’m just reading everything I can about it. Does anyone know of any good cart software that’s easy to semi-easy to figure out?

She and her partner in crime sell gorgeous boutique-style hairbows and I sell, well, anything - lol! I’m slowly creating a business right now. I don’t need something to run an entire furniture catalog or something equally impressing, just a nice couple little crafty boutiques!

Help me out, y0!

I’m trying to re-decorate (er … forget the “re”) my guestroom/crafty room and hubby suggested I check out some pawn shops. DUH! I say and slap my forehead. I am always visiting the thrift stores, but I’m not going to find a 20-inch flat panel computer monitor (on my wish list) at a thrift store - I’m going to find board games, books and perhaps even some magnifying glasses (for when I play sleuth with my son of course!) at the thrift store!

I’m also on the hunt for a nice plan table (smallish in the width) to act as a computer desk. I saw a set up in a magazine that I loved that had a plain desk but shelves going up the wall behind it. Looks good and serves a storage purpose (which is my goal for the entire room).

I picked up a book called 52 weekend projects or something like that. I’m very excited about this book and plan on putting it to good use :)

I’ve been forming a book list this week of possible reads and books that I’d like to write up reviews for. As some of you know I recently read the Harry Potter series and LOVED it; I also recently read “Baby Laughs” by Jenny McCarthy [hilarious!!], “Dark at the Roots: A Memoir” by Sarah Thyre [eh .. dark humor] and off and on I’ve been reading books geared towards military wives.

Books I’ve recently purchased include “The Creative Family” by Amanda Blake Soule and a weekend craft book (yay!)

A book that looks interesting is The Appeal by John Grisham (his newest one!).
